AUTO DEALERSHIP J.RINTAJOUPPI
This portal automation demo has been done in the following fashion:
1. A list of the stock of J.Rintajouppi's cars is fetched every day from their homepage
2. This list is compared to a previous list saved on the maintenance computer.
3. New items are downloaded with pictures and text and put to a database
4. Sold items are erased from the database
5. The program then makes a homepage for 60 cars every day, based on the material gained from the car sales home page, but the layout is changed completely
6. These homepages are the uploaded on the Net to allow a different car be shown in the pop-up screen that follows the link to appear every second.
In this demo, only cars with a picture are taken from the database for viewing.
All this action is fully automated, even though it requires a dedicated computer and a dedicated Sycamore Series channel to maintain the pages automatically
